This is a pokemon trainer/gijinka ask blog that follows the story of orphaned human trainer Llndea. When a strange man with Lucario ears and tail claims to know information about his heritage, Llndea must travel across all the known regions to find the truth and unlock the secrets of the mysterious and almost extinct race known as gijinkas.

Saguaro: Buddy, we can’t be biting everyone that approaches, okay?
???: Krrrhhhr.
Saguaro: Anyhow, I do hope to keep them… if they’re willing to join me, that is. I’ve never seen a Pokémon like this myself, but it looks similar to a Deerling.
Saguaro: Though, based on this one’s anatomy and body structure, it’s not anywhere close to any hooved mammal family. If I had to take a guess, I’d say it’s likely somewhere in the salamander family-likely close to Pokémon like Wooper or Mudkip.
Saguaro: I will definitely have to test its genetics, though, to better categorize it. It definitely has skin, no sign of any potential hair follicles from what I can feel.
Durin: …Have heard… of this Pokémon.
Saguaro: Oh! You have?
Durin: It’s called Keeling… Is Deerling Convergent.
Saguaro: Ah! That explains why it looks so similar to Deerling… A Keeling, huh?
Keeling: Mrr?
Saguaro: Little Keeling… would you like to join my team? You wouldn’t have to worry about food anymore. You’ll get plenty of food, and you won’t have to resort to trickery.
Keeling: …Mrrkh.
Saguaro: Hahah, glad you do, lil guy. I’ll call you Enigma. I think that’s a fitting name. I’ll text Professor Quercus about this new Pokémon so I can learn it’s typing.

I'll occasionally be attempting a traditional style of drawing. As such said drawings will start off looking rough so please bare with me.

Don't be mad if I don't draw your character for an ask. I am learning the ropes of art and won't always be comfortable drawing out asks

Wha-… Ferals? Are you referring to purebred pokemon? I suppose they could be considered ferals. but to answer your question there are gijinkas in this world alongside humans and purebreds.

To put it simply gijinka are essentially humans blessed with the powers of pokemon. In addition, we also bare some distinct traits from our purebred counterparts in terms of appearance. For example, take the twins over there

Lea points to Whril and Wynd

A small thing to note is the markings on their foreheads. They also have similar markings on their stomachs much like purebred Latios and Latias have, of course, this is just a small detail. A much more noticeable detail is that they have wings. I’d show you but I’d rather wait until we’re away from prying eyes.
